National Commander Oxford would like to acknowledge those Posts within The American Legion of Iowa, 7th Pioneer District that have reached 100% membership for the 2021 membership year.

As American Legion National Commander James W. “Bill” Oxford led the organization again for the 2020-2021 membership year due to the pandemic, he is continued his same three goals he had announced upon his election in August 2019. These goals focus on membership growth for 2021:

– 90 percent renewal rate
– 100,000 new members recruited
– 100 percent Consolidated Post Reporting

“A successful membership program is critical if we are to continue supporting our four pillars, especially helping our veterans and their family,” said Membership & Post Activities Committee Chairman Jay Bowen of Colorado during his remarks to the National Executive Commission. “It requires us to be proactive, roll up our sleeves and put in the effort.” Read more at https://www.legion.org/commander/250751/commander-oxford-continues-three-goals-membership-growth.

Each 100% Post Commander will receive an autographed picture of Commander Oxford, letter and 100% Certificate. District Commander Muse will also recognize 2021 Post Commanders, First Vice Commanders, Adjutants and Membership Chairman with 100% pins at the District Fall Conference during the morning session Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Additionally, Post 556 in Carson received The American Legion Family Ribbon. These ribbons are awarded to any Post family that achieves 100% renewal by the 100% target date. The deadline for submission to National was May 30, 2021. District Commander Muse will present 54 pins to the Post Commander to distribute to every 2021 member in the Post in recognition of this great achievement.
